More Workshops and Masterclasses |

Our recent highlight was a workshop with Patsy Reid who was scheduled to visit the Club but instead gave us an amazing ZOOM workshop all the way from Scotland. Several lucky members had 1 : 1 lessons with Patsy over the following week.
Coming up soon the Fiddle Club will be having a masterclass / workshop with Chris Duncan and Catherine Strutt.
We will keep you posted!
Can't wait!

Newstead Live 24 - 27 January
For those of you who didn't make it this year, definitely pencil it in for 2021
Newstead is a beautiful little town 10km from Castlemaine, Vic and they put on a great weekend with a range of emerging and legendary musicians.
I guess the MSFC fit into the legendary category and we took to the stage on Saturday and Sunday and Sunday evening for the Ceilidh in the Community Centre.
We had 23 participants and a great sound.
So well done everyone!

Stringmania becomes independant |
|
|
|
'Stringmania Australia Ltd' has been incorporated as a separate entity, and the running of the Stringmania camps has been handed over from MSFC to the new entity. The new organisation, Stringmania Australia, is still not-for-profit, and is being run by many of the same individuals that have run the camp for the last four years, at the same venue, Camp Arrabri - so these changes are basically in the background and will be largely invisible to participants in the camp.
Stringmania Australia is still hoping to run the Stringmania camp in 2020, despite the challenges presented by coronavirus. It is open for registrations now and you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. In the event that Stringmania does not go ahead this year, or you need to cancel due to COVID-19 related circumstances, Stringmania guarantees refund of all payments, including deposits.
Key dates are
Camp dates September 28 - October 4 2020
Early Bird Registration - open until June 30
Scholarship applications - open until May 30
